This was a simple flyer that I was asked to create to a very quick deadline, the aim of the poster was to get students involved in a project about the issues in Gaza and then put together a poster on their findings. I was only left with one day to complete this flyer before a gallery about the issues in Gaza was opened. The idea was to use black and white printing to keep the cosy down for the client, however this was something that I have never engaged in before and all work completed throughout University and college has contained a substantial amount of colour. I enjoyed working to their tight deadline and it was appreciated by the client.
I really enjoyed working in a style for somebody else and had to come up with a style for a culture that i had little knowledge. The simple images that have been used are a combination of the flag for the basic layout and included the symbols for the major religions that is the source of much conflict in these areas. The background image was also sourced from a preview of the gallery, where all images had been produced by children in the area about their experiences of the conflict.
